Becoming rich is a choice

On the topic of wealth and people, some people have put forward such a hypothesis: in a system, there are rich and poor in the initial state. Then, we let all the wealth in the system redistribute equally to everyone in the system. What will be the result? It can be imagined that such an average will be broken after an hour. For example: Some people take the allocated money to go to the restaurant, and some people use the allocated money to open the restaurant. After an hour, the wealth will be uneven. One year later, it may be a little longer. After five years, the original rich will still be rich, the original poor will still be poor, and it will return to its original state.

The biggest feature of economic theory is that it cannot do a simulation test under perfect conditions, but everyone and everything around us are doing tests under incomplete conditions. The above hypothesis can only be a hypothesis forever, but bits and pieces of examples around us all tell us that this hypothesis has a certain truth.

This hypothesis tells us that whether a person is ultimately poor or rich is not luck, nor is it a so-called opportunity, but a choice, a choice of lifestyle and value system. If you choose the lifestyle of the rich and the value system of the rich, you will become rich. Therefore, some people say that the rich have genes, that is to say, whether a person will become a rich person is born. This actually makes sense. A person's lifestyle and value system are often formed very early. The so-called three-year-old sees older and seven-year-old sees the same truth.

So what is the lifestyle and value system of the rich?

We can also put forward another hypothesis: in a completely fair and reasonable society, the amount of wealth a person has exactly represents his contribution to the society.

This hypothesis is also easy to understand. For example, a person works for a month and gets an income of 10,000 yuan. Under fair and reasonable conditions, the income of 10,000 yuan is his remuneration for his work, that is, he has made 10,000 yuan of contribution to the society in the past month. So the process of making money for a person is the process of contributing to society. He spent another 5,000 yuan in this month. The process of a person's consumption is actually a process of requesting from the society. Income minus consumption is his surplus, and the surplus is precisely his net contribution to society. So the wealth that a person accumulates is just his net contribution to society.

The lifestyle and value system of the rich are diversified, but they have some commonalities and essential characteristics. We believe that choosing to be rich means that you have chosen this life:

Life is more disciplined. The above hypothesis tells us that the rich mean paying more and asking for less. The wealth a person has is equal to what he gains minus what he spends. A person who does not know how to control his desires, and a person who lacks self-discipline in life, will lose control of his demands from the society, his expenditure will also lose control, so no amount of wealth will be squandered.

Take greater risks. Investment science tells us that returns are proportional to risks. Taking risks is a basic element of wealth creation. To become rich, you must create more wealth, and to create wealth that surpasses ordinary people, you must bear more than ordinary risks. Taking risks also means bearing greater sufferings in life.

Take greater responsibility. In the movie "Spider-Man", Spider-Man's uncle told him: greater ability means greater responsibility. The wealth of modern society actually means social resources, and having more wealth means possessing more social resources, which means greater responsibility. Therefore, the more wealth a person has, the greater his responsibility to society.

For those who choose to be rich, you should understand that choosing to be rich does not mean that you will be happier, nor does it mean that you will be happier or more honorable. It means that you will pay more, bear more, and bear more.

If you enjoy this kind of life, then you choose to become rich.
