Burn the enemy ship with sunlight

There was a famous scientist in ancient Greece called Archimedes. He has many inventions, and everyone respects him.

On this day, the Roman invaders came to attack the city again on a warship. The young and middle-aged people are not there. There are only old people, women and children in the city. Everyone was terrified, and they all came to Archimedes, asking him to find a way to drive the enemy away.

Archimedes walked up the city wall. He saw the Roman warship getting closer and closer, the sails of which had been oiled not long ago. Archimedes looked up at the sky, the sun was so fierce that people couldn't open their eyes. With an idea, he said happily: "There is a way! Set the ship on fire!"

So, he directed everyone to move together, asking everyone to point a mirror at the ship. Thousands of mirrors reflected sunlight to concentrate on one point—the sail of the enemy ship, causing the temperature of this point to rise rapidly, and the oiled sail could easily catch fire. The enemy could not be defended, so they had to dive to escape.

   [Successful interpretation]

Use a mirror to concentrate the sunlight on one point, and you can burn a ship, which is beyond your imagination. A wise person always uses wisdom that no one else can imagine to do things even more unexpected to others. This is the difference between wise men and ordinary people.
