At Christmas, Paul's brother gave him a new car. When Paul left the office on Christmas Day, a boy walked around the shiny new car and asked in awe: "Sir, is this your car?"
Paul nodded: "This is a Christmas gift from my brother." The boy was surprised, and said stammeringly: "You mean this is a gift from your brother. It didn't cost you half a dime? Me too. I hope I can..."
Of course Paul thought he wanted to have a brother who would send him a car, but what the boy said shocked Paul very much. "I hope I can be the older brother who sends the car to my younger brother." The boy continued.
Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, and blurted out inviting him: "Would you like to take my car for a drive?" The boy happily got in the car and went around for a short distance. The boy said with excitement in his eyes: "Sir, can you drive the car to my door?"
Paul smiled, thinking that the boy must be showing off to his neighbors, letting everyone know that he had taken a big car home. Unexpectedly, Paul guessed wrong again this time. "Can you park the car in front of those two steps?" the boy demanded.
The boy ran up the stairs, and after a while Paul heard the sound of his return, but his movements seemed a little slow. It turned out that he came out with his lame brother, put him on the steps, hugged him tightly, and pointed to the new car.
Just listen to the boy telling his brother: "Look, this is the new car I told you upstairs just now. It was given to him by Paul and his brother! I will also give you a car like this in the future. At that time you will be able to look at the beautiful Christmas ornaments hanging on the window."
Paul got out of the car and carried the lame boy to the front seat of the car. The big boy with shiny eyes also climbed into the car and sat next to his brother. In this way, the three of them began an unforgettable holiday drive.
It was only on Christmas Eve that time that Paul truly realized the truth that Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
